Word Search Master — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 1 September 2026

Word Search Master ("the app", "we", "us") is a word puzzle game for Urdu, Hindi and English players. This policy explains what data the app collects, why, and what choices you have. The app is designed to be fully playable offline as a guest with no account at all — everything below only applies to the extent you actually use a feature that needs it.

Data we collect

CategoryWhatWhen
Account identifiers An anonymous device-bound ID (always). If you choose to sign in with Google: your name, email address and profile photo URL. App start (anonymous ID). Sign-in screen (Google details), only if you tap "Sign in".
Gameplay data Levels completed, scores, stars, hints used, coins, streaks, achievements, and the words/graphemes of a completed puzzle (needed to verify your score server-side). Synced in the background as you play, only when a network connection is available. The game itself is fully offline-playable; this is a background backup, never a requirement to play.
Leaderboard & friends data Your display name, photo, and score appear on leaderboards other players can see if you choose to sign in and compete. A friend invite-code links two accounts if you both choose to use it. Only if you sign in and opt into leaderboards/friends.
Diagnostics Crash reports and non-fatal error reports (device model, OS version, app version, stack trace) via Firebase Crashlytics. Automatically, only when something goes wrong.
Usage analytics Anonymous gameplay events (e.g. a level was completed, a hint was used) via Firebase Analytics, tied to an installation identifier, not your name. Automatically, while the app is in use.
Advertising data (planned, not yet shipped) Once rewarded-video ads are added, the AppLovin MAX SDK will collect an advertising identifier, device information and coarse location (if permitted by your device settings) to select and measure ads. Only when an ad is shown, and never before you complete your first level.

Data that never leaves your device

Your full game progress is stored locally on your device in an encrypted, tamper-evident local database regardless of whether you ever sign in. If you never sign in, none of your gameplay data is sent anywhere.

Why we collect it

Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal data. Data is processed by our infrastructure providers acting on our behalf: Google Firebase (authentication, database, crash reporting, analytics) and, once ads ship, AppLovin (ad serving). A public leaderboard entry (display name, photo, score, rank) is visible to other players by design if you opt in.

Children

Word Search Master is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us at mohammaddeveloper38400@gmail.com and we will delete it.

Your choices

Data retention

Cloud data is kept for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, your levels, coins, streaks, achievements, and leaderboard entries are permanently removed within our normal processing time. Data stored only on your device is removed when you uninstall the app or clear its storage.

Security

Local game data carries a tamper-evident integrity signature. Cloud data is protected by access-controlled database rules — your device can read its own data and public leaderboard entries, nothing else. Scores are recomputed and verified on our servers before being accepted, which also protects the integrity of leaderboards for everyone.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
